The CTO of MiWEndo Solutions, Marta Guardiola, has been selected to participate in the program promoted by Foment del Treball and the Consulate General of the United States ‘Academy for Women Entrepreneurs’ (AWE).
Last Thursday, 6th of May, the presentation ceremony of the program was held at the headquarters of the employer’s association in Barcelona, attended by the 30 award-winning women entrepreneurs. The grant consists of a training course from the Thunderbird business school of the University of Arizona, face-to-face masterclasses at Foment headquarters and mentoring. In addition, those selected will be able to be part of a large global network with connections around the world that brings together the more than 7000 participants in the program worldwide, as well as to enter as Foment associates at no cost for a year.
The General Consul of the United States in Barcelona, Robert Riley, participated in the event and called on us to continue promoting initiatives that strengthen, visualize and accelerate female entrepreneurship and leadership: “We need more than ever for women to participate in the economic reconstruction and in building a better world. We were waiting for them”. The Director of Development Innovation, María Mora, has verified that the projects presented augur a very optimistic future for innovation and research in Catalonia.
